| Abstract | Objectives: (1) To monitor the ecological status of inner Saronikos (including Elefsis and Keratsini bays), during a 12 month period,(2007). (2) To study the ecosystem evolution of inner Saronikos from 1987 until 2007.<BR>Works: (1) Study of water column parameters: (a) temperature, salinity, turbidity, (b) oxygen, nutrients, particulate and dissolved phosphorus - nitrogen, POC, TOC, coprostanol, (c) biomass and communities of phytoplankton and zooplankton. (2) Study of benthic communities (phyto- and zoobenthos), (3) Satellite imagery.<BR> |
