| Abstract | AIMS
1.- Consolidate the observational network implemented during the predecessor VACLAN project.
2.- Maintain a minimum observational system representative of climatic variability in the area.
3.- Study the climatic variability observed in the Iberian Bay of Biscay and northeast Atlantic.
4.- Analise the area circulation from hydrographic data and a numerical model.
5.- Evaluate the skill of the sampling net in detecting the variability at different scales.
6.- Generate recommendations for the optimization of the sampling net.
7.- Establish an efficient system of information and data flow in cooperation with national and
international data centers.
