Abstract	CIREN is a project aiming at observing the tropical Indian Ocean (sector 58 ° E-85 ° E, 9 ° S-3 ° N) at intraseasonal to interannual time scales, over a period extending from late 2004 to end of 2007. This project is part of a project submitted to PNEDC (project LOTI) and PATOM (VASCO project).
