Description
Abstract	Recruitment research: Ichthyoplankton survey and teaching fishery biological techniques in the western Baltic Sea (Multi Purpose Education Survey, MuPEdS) The distribution of fish larvae is analysed in the western Baltic Sea in springtime with FRV "SOLEA". The survey focusses on the distribution of herring and cod larvae. Abiotic paramters (temperature and salinity) are recoded, together with the abundance of predators (Mnemiopsis). The survey serves also the purpose of educating students of the University of Rostock in methods of fishery biolgy
