| Abstract | The subject of this project is a physical-chemical analysis of sea water, sediments and biota in the Southern Adriatic. In addition to exploring the wider area of South Adriatic Sea, the project is specifically focused on the area of the territorial sea of Montenegro. The statistical analysis of historical data in correlation with the new results was used for the creation of the ecological image of the investigated area. The overall objective of the research is seasonal determination of the basic physico-chemical parameters of seawater as a basis for harmonization of the quality control system of the environment in the coastal region of Montenegro in terms of valorisation of the ecological status of the area.
