| Abstract |
ANEMONE aims to deliver, through collaborative efforts among
partners, a common strategy related to the Joint Monitoring of the Black
Sea, using the most adequate common agreed assessment criteria and
indicators, in order to assess the status of the Black Sea, as a basis
for further actions.
An improved long-term cross-border collaboration and research
capacity in addressing trans-boundary pollution, eutrophication, and
biodiversity monitoring, using the most adequate common agreed
assessment criteria and indicators, in order to assess the present
status of the Black Sea, represent a basis for further actions. The
proposed joint monitoring requirements will focus, based on agreed
common indicators, on parameters that are indicative of the state of the
environment, the prevailing anthropogenic pressures and their impacts,
and the progress towards the good environmental status (GES) (ecological
objectives and targets).
