| Abstract | Coastal lagoons are highly vulnerable to climate change-related pressures, such as floods and increasing temperatures, which lead to higher oxygen consumption, anaerobic metabolism and dystrophic events. Although these factors have a significant impact on the carbon cycle, the dynamics of dissolved organic matter (DOM) in these systems have not been extensively investigated. In this study, the dynamics of trophic variables, Chl a, DOC and TSS, was investigated in the Varano lagoon after a flood event. |
