| Abstract | The main goal of this research project is to Understand and parameterise the response of ecosystems to the various sources of temporal variability, both on oceanographic features and on planktonic communities, with special attention to those factors and processes that affect biological production and that can alter the ecosystem
In accordance with this need for oceanographic time series studies and within the framework of scientific initiatives such as IGBP, GLOBEC, GOOS, OSPAR, etc. (related to climate change, ocean observation and ecosystem conservation) the Instituto Español de Oceanografía (IEO, Spanish Institute for Oceanography) has promoted as part of its strategic research programme the development of time series observations of oceanographic data and its subsequent analysis. |
