| Abstract | Aim : To study the physical characteristics and biogeochemical changes between continental shelf and open sea. Objective : - To understand the seasonal and interannual variability of the general water mass circulation and the processes associated with it. - To study and quantify the biogeochemical exchanges between the continental margin and the open sea as well as through straits and channels. - To improve our understanding of key biological (pelagic and benthic) processes and their controlling factors in the biogeochemical cycles. - To describe the biogeochemical composition of deep waters and sediments in relation with atmospheric and terrestrial inputs, with a view to understanding long-term changes. |
