Description
Abstract
Operational Environmental Monitoring projects aim to observe and study the main marine processes of coastal and open-sea areas in their wide spectrum of space and time scales, with long-term routine measurements. The EVOLINE project focuses on the study of coastal erosion acting in the northern Adriatic area (along Bibione and Lignano coast). It is founded by Friuli-Venezia-Giulia Local Government to provide meteo-oceanographic conditions to Civil Protection Center in Palmanova (Udine). The experimental activity is based on meteo-oceanographic multi-parametric MAMBO buoys, Datawell Directional Waveriders (DWR) and near-shore stations (PAGODA) with moored ADCP current meters and pressure wave gauges.
