| Abstract | Continue and enhance the VOS measurements in the Adriatic, as a continuation of the Mediterranean Forecasting System - Pilot Project, set up an operational coastal observing system in four selected areas (Emilia Romagna, Gulf of Trieste, Rovinij area, Split Area), implement an integrated catchment simulator system in the Split area.
Whitin ADRICOSM a near real time monitoring system and a near real time basin-shelf marine forecasting system have been implemented and run in operational mode for Adriatic Sea. In addition, a river basin modelling system and the hydrodynamic modelling of coastal areas in a test site near Split (Croatia) were coupled. The Adriatic Sea Marine Forecasting System releases on each Wednesday weekly forecasts of marine currents, temperature, salinity and other physical paramiters. |
