| Abstract | EUROSTRATAFORM aims to understand sedimentary systems, and to contribute to a better understanding and modelling of inorganic and organic particle transport along transects from rivers to the deep sea in contrasting sectors of the NE Atlantic and Mediterranean margins. The determination of temporal and spatial variability of the processes governing sedimentary transport, their role and their contribution to the construction of the sedimentary strata composing the margin, and the understanding of the architecture of sedimentary data are the major goals of EUROSTRATAFORM. These are of essential and critical value for better and sustainable development of the continental margin of Europe.
