| Abstract | PROOF (Biogeochemical Processes in the Ocean Flow) represents the French contribution to international program JGOFS. It aims at determining particulate flows, in particular carbon, from the surface to the ocean floor and from the formation to the burrying in the sediment.
Several projects were already carried out in the context of this program : ANTARES, DYNAPROC, ECOMARGE, EUMELI, EPOPE_FLUPAC, EPOPE_OLIPAC, FLUPAC_EBENE, FLUPAC_EQUALIS, FRONTAL_ALMOFRONT, FRONTAL_TOMOFRONT, KERFIX, MEDATLANTE, MIGZOO, PROSOPE, SO_DYFAMED, and new projects of observations are underway:
- ACTION: Anthropogenic Carbon: Temporal Increase, Obervations and Numerization
- BARMED: influence of the biological carbon pump on the climatic changes, and reciprocally
- BIOSOPE: BIogeochmistry and Optics South Pacific Experiment<br>
- DIAPAZON: DIAzotrophie PAcifique ZONe
